The BMW Flexible Fast Charger is capable of Level 1- 120 Volt charging at standard home outlets or Level 2- 240 Volt charging at high current outlets. Due to its interchangeable adaptors, you can choose the charging that best works for you everytime you plug in.
How to Charge With the BMW Flexible Fast Charger
Each BMW Flexible Fast Charger comes with interchangeable connectors. To start charging, find the plug that is compatible with your outlet and push onto the connector until secure. Once the connector is attached, plug the charger into the wall, an orange light will flash while the connection is established and then glow blue when ready to charge. Next, plug the charger into your BMW, it will glow blue to indicate that it is charging.
To stop charging, first unlock your vehicle. This will release the charging cable so that you can unplug it from your BMW. You can then unplug the charger from the outlet for out of the way storage.
When charging it is important that you use the correct outlet for your plug. If you plan to use the Level 2 charger at home, you will need to have an outlet professionally installed. Always plug the charger directly into the outlet to ensure a safe charging process.
